The Letter "K"
truly it is in there ... another one I have gone a bit overboard on ... The K would have looked better if I had left it white, but it is good to try things on a small scale before you go and do something larger or on lovely card stock as a gift.

What can I say ... I like repetition :)
I have drawn the string line, then done an aura on both sides of it so you get a white space effect. You can try this same technique to write words in your tangle drawings.

The Letter "J"
These letters are all hand drawn, not using ruler or straight edge which is why they are a little bit "organic" :)
I like the pattern Marasu because you can do so much with it. Over on my other blog www.janemonkstudio.blogspot.com you can see one of my Big Tangle drawings that uses this pattern idea. http://janemonkstudio.blogspot.com.au/2010/11/work-in-progress.html

That little tangle up in the top left corner was one that Maria Thomas taught us when I was at CZT seminar back in October 2010 ... I don't know if it was ever named... will have to check that out.

This one may have a few contentious points.
There is a pattern that I have used for years and years in my drawings, it is even a quilting pattern. It doesn't seem to have been "named" officially by Zentangle, it isn't quite Printemps and I am at a loss as what to call it. I made an executive decision to call it "Tortle" in all my work. It is that curved line pattern that stacks up ... looks a little bit like a turtle.... I am okay if you don't like that I have done this ... but I needed to call it something in my own work.

I have a little paper template that I cut out so my letter "string lines" are all the same size and shape.

The Letter "E"
I love this pattern Isocor, you can make fantastic valleys and hills, give them more depth with shading and even use some of the areas to put different tangle patterns into them. Showing little bits of the background behind the E, coming into the main part of the tile. Adding more interest to your tile.
Hope you are enjoying this little journey through the alphabet with me :) Happy tangling for now ... Jane xx

Just a quick thank you ... I appreciate all your lovey comments. Yes I will be continuing the whole alphabet ... A couple of letters at a time, interspersed with normal tangle drawings.... If you have any requests or questions ... Feel free to ask. See you in the morning with tomorrow's One Tangle. Jane xxxx
