A whole lot of my patterns. And before anyone says anything ... these are definitely all my own patterns even Spinners which I drew in 2010.

Today I have used a background that I often use parts of in my quilting. Most continuous quilting patterns would lend themselves quite nicely to Zentangle, and I have had a lot of years practice drawing quilting patterns as I work as a professional longarm machine quilter. Of course, the patterns look different in thread on cotton fabric :)

This reminds me of a harlequin
I have drawn my pattern Tabs behind the letter and then filled in the spaces with other patterns. I have also used watercolour pencils and a waterbrush to colour.
Happy Easter ... did you go on an Easter Egg Hunt today :)

Some wonderful colour with the lowercase "k".
I have again drawn the letter freehand, added some enhancement down the left side of the spine, added some lovely growth out of the letter and coloured it with watercolour pencils then added water with a waterbrush to blend nicely. You could colour with markers or even normal pencils. I do like the watercolour ones though.
This one just says "spring", even though here in the southern hemisphere we are in the middle of Autumn.

Drawing other tangles "behind" the same concept as in Hollibaugh pattern. I have just done a simple one here today.
Happy Easter to all those that celebrate this wonderful holiday.
I used to draw these shapes to represent people .. so this could be my Pod Family :)

I thought I had better finish off the lowercase alphabet. So today I have the lowercase "j" with just some simple Nouveau pattern and shading to give the letter roundness.
I have just drawn a simple letter freehand, you could print your letters on the computer as there are many many fonts to choose from.

A "green" day today :)
The centre pattern is a variation of Dex ... well it is Dex without the horizontal and vertical lines included. You could shade this in many different ways to get different effects. And I realised I have not used Dex in this series of drawings before so I will do the complete Dex in tomorrow's One Tangle.
