Yep ... that's it ... Day 365. This has been a wonderful journey to draw a tangle tile every day (well almost). I can't believe that I started this over a year ago and love looking back through those five little black books with all those tangles in them.
Thank you for coming along, for your comments and support. It has been amazing. I have used official Zentangle patterns as well as my own, and have developed quite a few along the way.
I still have 10 blank pages in the last little black book ... so over the coming weeks I will add them to this page as well.
Once again ... thank you ... from the bottom of my heart x
Just a little reminder as we turn the page to the last tangle drawing in this journey ... Play Every Day.
A simple swirl with an aura and bubbles behind. This is a great way to add words to your tangles.

Ink Blot ...
I have drawn an ink blot and filled it in with the tangle pattern 'Striping ' with a background of 'Florz', a variation. I started out doing it dark with the brown pigma pen then decided I would lose the whole effect, so have finished off with cross hatching. I would probably redo this one without the solid background filled part.
The ink blot makes a great string line, imagine how many variations you could make.

Today's One Tangle is about Crop Circles. I have also used a brown Pigma Pen for some added interest.
The "Crop Circles" pattern is really the black circles in the background. I was playing around with my circle template and it sort of grew from there. How would you draw a crop circle tangle?

Getting closer to the end of my year long journey now :)
The two patterns I am introducing here are really variations of Rick's Paradox. When I was younger I used to love drawing 3D shapes, cubes were a favourite. I thought I would take that and add Rick's Paradox onto those faces and then I also made some little paradox flower blooms. I hope you enjoy them and add them to your repertoire of patterns.
You could also use a triangle shape here.

I love my Star Buttons pattern :)
The background is just straight..ish lines. This gives a nice effect when you don't want to put a busy pattern in the background but want it to look "full". Actually reminds me a little of corduroy pants.

Just a simple tangle today. I drew the string line and then thought "leaves" ... so added some more in the background. I have also used a grey ink pen to draw some lines on the bottom left leaf ... a light grey gives your tangles a different look without adding shading. Often if you scan your drawing, the graphite shading does not come out as smooth as it would if you took a photograph or looked at the original drawing. This is why my shading often looks a bit rough - it is the scanner not picking it all up.

I know, you all thought I had forgotten about this!
Life has a funny way of telling us to slow down a little. Anyway .. we will pick up again today and carry on to the end of our 365 days. So here is Friday 27 June Day 353.
I have put Printemps in the background and shaded so the Flux and Tipple look like they are floating.
